HDTV flickering on certain things?
I have a 32″ lcd samsung 720p 60hz hdtv and when i watch movies or play games on ps3 and or xbox 360 sometimes certain shirts people are wearing the screen flickers on there shirt or in games the grass and trees flicker in the game not the whole screen im using a hdmi cable from monoprice it was $6 its 28 awg 1.3a cat 2 it has ferrite cores and is tin plated with gold plated clips. The flickering happens on both systems what can this be from? this also happens on regular cable as well. My dads tv is a aquos hdtv and it does the same thing. what is this

This isn’t called flicker, I think what you are seeing are Moire patterns http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moiré_pattern
They are probably the result of poor up or down conversion. What that means is that your console is 1080i or p going to 720p of the panel.
It can even happen with 1080i going into a 1080p TV. Either way it’s probably poor software/hardware in the TV or console and there isn’t anything you can do to fix it. The only way to lessen this is to match the resolution of the console or source to the TV
Lots of people with 720p sets, have their blu ray or video game running at 1080 and it’s just more work for the TV. Even with both at 720 there can still be issues, because unlike 1080, there is no set resolution for 720p, it can be 1280×720, 1365×768, 1024×768 and more have all popped up on LCD and plasma TVs.
