Screen flickers when computer processor is pushed?
Recently I connected my hdtv to my computer. The screen flickered when I turned on an intense visualisation feature on winamp, I set the frame rate / bit graphics, processing speeds for winamp low – now it works. But now when I play games (on a different monitor) the screen flickers. By this I mean it goes funny colours, stripes on the length of the monitor. I’m using a vga cable for my monitor, and a dvi-hdmi cable for my hdtv. How do I fix this?
Could be a power problem. Look at the rating for your power supply, then add up the power use by all your components. That’s the first guess. Next would be a bad card.
