Degrade video quality when connecting 4 HDMI cables from receiver to TV?

Does quality degrade when I connect 4 HDMI cables together to get from the receiver to my plasma TV? Total is about 40′ run. Here’s how it goes:

Receiver to Wall (1′)
Wall up the attic to another wall about 35′ using 2 HDMI cables connect together.
Wall to TV (1′)

I want to know how bad this setting is before I decided to buy one long HDMI and have it directly receiver to TV. Will I see significant improvement? Please advice. Thanks a lot.

since your running at great lengths then you may need a repeater to strengthen the signal inbetween
